SDA provides the following services

Construction of Rainwater Harvesting Systems:

Roof water harvesting, construction of Ferrocement tanks and storage of rainwater provides water security to households and institutions experiencing water stress. SDA provides support to plan, design, implement and build capacity of the clients in operating and maintaining rainwater harvesting systems in India. Rainwater stored using an appropriate methodology can be used for domestic purposes or for irrigation.

Repair and Maintenance of defunct and damaged rainwater harvestings systems

SDA also provides support to Clients in repairing and maintaining old rainwater harvesting systems that have become defunct or damaged.

We construct and operationalize Biogas Plants. We have expertise in construction of fixed-dome biogas plants, especially Deenbandhu mod el and Janata model biogas plants. The construction material used by us is Ferro cement

The Deenbandhu model Biogas Plant

The Deenbandhu model Biogas Plant is a low-cost, fixed-dome type biogas plant designed for rural households, developed in 1984 by Action for Food Production (AFPRO), a Delhi based NGO.

The Janata model Biogas Plant

The Janata model Biogas Plant is a low-cost, fixed-dome biogas plant developed by the Planning Research and Action Division (PRAD) in 1978.

Repair of defunct and damaged Biogas Plants:

SDA provides support in repairing and maintaining Biogas Plants that were constructed and operated long time ago and have become defunct due to one or the other reasons. SDA also undertakes conversion of Floating drum type (KVIC) model Biogas Plants into Fixed dome type biogas plants.

Construction of Smokeless Chulah

A smokeless chulha is an improved, fuel-efficient wood-burning stove designed for safer and more sustainable cooking. Smokeless chulha features an engineered combustion chamber and a chimney to ensure better airflow and fuel use, resulting in less smoke and less fuel consumption. SDA undertakes construction of Smokeless Chulah in Kerala and other Indian States.
